Hunger Walk 2015

The Hunger Walk is a huge and historic annual event in Atlanta. A portion of the money we raise each year supports Messiah’s own Meals on Wheels ministry, and Lutheran Services of Georgia, which resettles refugees, provides adoption and foster care, and supports adults with intellectual disabilities. But the lion’s share of the fundraising efforts goes to the Atlanta Community Food Bank, which does tremendous work collecting, storing, and distributing food to people in need.

Messiah rallies our community together each Spring to learn more about hunger and its effects in our area, and raises thousands of dollars to support emergency pantries, shelters, and food assistance programs in North  Georgia.

Typically, we take a large group of folks downtown to walk or run in the event. Pastor Nathan even ran in his alb and purple stole!
