Pastor Nathan Hilkert

About his early years, Pastor Nathan says, “it’s complicated.” After years spent between Germany, Colorado, Oklahoma, Ohio and Georgia, his family settled in the Atlanta area in 1987, and this has been home ever since. After working for a newspaper and teaching English, he studied at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, in Columbia, South Carolina, and was ordained a pastor in 2008. Pastor Nathan has been at Messiah since 2010.Pastor Nathan enjoys running, writing, and home-brewing. He’s married to Heidi, an elementary school teacher, and they are proud parents of Stella and Lucy. They love Decatur, and are tremendously excited to see what God has in store for the folks of Messiah.
